The Cream Event 2013

Hello! It has been some time since I last updated my blog, but I'm back to share the latest photos with you all! :) About a month ago, I was asked to provide sweets for Aracely, Owner of Minted and Vintage Dessert Stand Rentals. Aracely was going to be a vendor at The Cream Event held at the Vibiana in Los Angeles, and wanted my sweets to be apart of her dessert table. Immediately, I agreed to be on board! I was so excited to be apart of this event alongside other talented bakers. For those of you who aren't familiar with The Cream Event its an AMAZING showcased event that features tons of talented vendors in the wedding business. Pretty much this is the dream place for a Wedding Planner, or Bride to be! From Photographers to Catering Services a lot of talented people are there to provide tons of eye candy. So to begin Aracely gave me the color scheme for her dessert table which was emerald green, gold, deep navy blue and mint. As always my goal was to create beautiful sweets with a clean and classy look and came up this final look for the Cake Pops and Mini Cupcakes! Very simple but very beautiful and show stopping in person! I absolutely loved the gold glitter on the pops! What do you all think?

Getting in the Christmas spirit!

Hello! It has been some time since the last time I've updated my blog, in between completing orders
and shopping for Christmas gifts things have been a little busy. But I'm very excited to share my latest creations with you as I get into the Christmas spirit! In the spirit of giving I donated my time and sweets to a special cause. A non profit organization by the name of SPIRITT Family Services- which focuses on providing vital services for families. This organization has a yearly Christmas party for the families who are sometimes unable to afford to even have a Christmas celebration. So I wanted to create something very special and decadent for the families, and what better thing to make then cupcakes? :) I will provide descriptions to each cupcake below so grab a napkin because you might drool ;)

Strawberry Cupcake- A moist yet dense cupcake made with sour cream, buttermilk and other quality ingredients topped with a vanilla pudding icing and light sprinkled with mini heart sprinkles.

Carrot Cake cupcake topped with Vanilla Buttercream, drizzled with Caramel and lastly sprinkled with sliced Pecans.

The next project is my latest creation of Christmas Cake Pops! It was my first time doing both designs and boy did I love the final outcome. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do :)

This  "Don't EAT!" sign is vital in my house.
If I don't display a sign my treats will "magically" disappear ;) lol

Hope you enjoyed the update! Feel free to leave comments :)

My first feature!!

Hello everyone! This weekend was very exciting for me the photos from the styled photo shoot I took part in last month came out! This styled photo-shoot was created by the very talented Aracely, Owner of Minted and Vintage Dessert Stand Rentals. When Aracely first approached me to be apart of her photo-shoot along side other amazing vendors, I was beyond honored and excited to be considered for this event. The idea behind this photo-shoot was designed for a Children's Tea Party. The main elements for this theme was vintage white lace, doilies, pink with white polka dots, pink and red roses with green leaves, strawberries, cherries, teapots, tea cups and saucers, sprinkles, tea time, childlike play food. So taking all these elements into creating my Cake Pops was very important to me, so I went to the drawing table and began to brainstorm ideas. My goal was to create Cake Pops that not only matched the theme but had a simplistic, girly feel to it. In creating the perfect Cake Pops to match the theme, I used pink paper straws, regular white lollipop sticks and cut them at 4 inches to create miniature sized treats suitable for children. I also decided to use a pale pink lace fabric as ribbon to add a little vintage flare to the Pops. As the day came for the photo-shoot I was so excited to see the set up and when I arrived to the location boy was I blown away! It was like a dream, something I will never forget! It was amazing to see Aracely in action setting up the Tea party, her talent and attention to detail is out of this world. So before I keep rambling on I'm so excited for you all to see my work showcased in my very first styled photo-shoot! I'm also thrilled to say Aracely, the other amazing vendors and I were featured on www.karaspartyideas.com!! SOOOOOO exciting!! :) So hope you enjoy the pictures and check out the all the talented vendors who were apart of this remarkable Tea party!

XOXO
